It depends on what type of your assassin and what skills do you use primarily.
If you have only dragon claw in martial arts, then heading for death sentry trap in the traps tree.

Then heading for shadowmaster but only have shadow warrior so far. Have 50 dual wield blocking. About 6 points so far in claw mastery and 1 in fade and cloak of shadow.

So, it looks like you have no choice but to go melee with him. Just keep on hitting him untill he charges up to use the fire/light super power what-looks-like inferno thing, then run like hell.

I really doubt high will do any good because he's gonna kill you with it anyways. I'd go for high damage or crushing blow. If you play on BN you can just ask for help.

I can't comment on the specifics for a assassin, but adding crushing blow should help a lot - every hit will take an initial 1/8 of the remaining hit points off, prior to normal damage. Also do you have any life leach? If not some may help your survivibility time and cathans rings (6%) are plentiful.

Crushing blow for the win, but if this is your first time through Diablo and you don't get a lucky trade for it, it won't be an option.
