A Swift Answer to AVG Uninstallation Issue

Internet is a latest revolution in the world of communication, as most of us are dependent on it to accomplish many of our daily transactions such as banking, shopping, travelling etc. It is a great source of entertainment, which always keeps us updated with the latest trends in numerous fields like fashion, technology, health or education. But apart from its positive impacts on our society, it has a drawback too, which is well known as a virus or Internet attack. It is basically a system application or file, which is capable of removing, stealing or corrupting some of the important data from the system.

According to a recent research it is found that the systems that are not equipped with the appropriate security software tools, have 60% lesser life than those that are antivirus protected by reputed security software brands. Additionally, apart from installing antivirus software, it is essential to configure it appropriately, and update its virus definition database regularly. It is a great way to catch and remove the newly developed viruses, spywares or other malicious files.

In order to install new antivirus software, it is necessary to uninstall the existing one, as the transaction to install the new security software fails, once it locates any other security software on the system. This issue commonly occurs in AVG antivirus while uninstalling it from your system, which occurs due to conflicts in some security definitions. Generally, an AVG support community can also be one of the most useful measures to resolve various technical issues related to your antivirus. But as far as completely uninstalling AVG antivirus from your system is concerned, here are some of the steps, which can be helpful :

• Remove Security Tool through Control Panel: The first step to uninstall the AVG antivirus is to remove it through “Control Panel”. In order to go to “Control Panel”, you need to select the “Start” button, positioned on the bottom left corner of your system, then under “System”, click on “Control Panel”. After that, locate the option namely “Add/ Remove” and double-click on that. Next window will display a list of installed software tools, whereas, you need to select the AVG antivirus, and click the button “remove” situated next to it. After that restart your system, and ensure whether the AVG icon is removed from the desktop. If you are using Windows 7 operating system, then you need to uninstall the AVG Antivirus from “Programs and Features”, which can be opened by clicking on the “Start” button, under “Control Panel”. You may be prompted to provide the administrator’s password. If you are new to computers, you can also get assistance from AVG technical Support for further assistance or troubleshooting.

• Delete Security Software by AVG Installer: If you are unable to remove AVG antivirus software from your system, then open AVG antivirus home page, provided by AVG tech support. Try to download the AVG installation file on your system, as AVG does not have a separate uninstallation format. After that, locate “Uninstall” option to uninstall the security software completely, which appears after running the AVG installer application on your system. Then, restart your system to completely remove the AVG antivirus from your PC.
