New Delhi, April 6, 2011: Apollo Hospitals Group will host two prestigious International Conferences at Hyderabad. Dr Hari Prasad, CEO, Central, Apollo Hospitals Group & Dr K. Ganapathy, President, Apollo Telemedicine Networking Foundation & President Telemedicine Society of India, announced at a Press Conference, the hosting of International Patient Safety Congress on April 21 & 22, 2011 and 2nd International Conference on Transforming Healthcare with IT 2011 on April 22 & 23, 2011, at HICC, Hyderabad.
About International Patient Safety Congress
The International Patient Safety Congress being hosted jointly by Apollo Hospitals Group, Joint Commission International & Quality Council of India, Johnson & Johnson, Philips, National Patient Safety Foundation, IMA, Hyderabad Chapter, FICCI, APNA, Astron Consultancy & Medvarsity, will focus on Healthcare associated infections and is closely related to the theme of this year’s World Health Day – ‘Antimicrobial resistance.’ According to Dr. Hari Prasad, the fundamental purpose of this Congress is to discuss how proactive practice and health care systems can improve patient safety.
Some of the prominent speakers addressing the conference include Dr. Prathap C Reddy, Founder Chairman, Apollo Hospitals Group; Dr. Kiran Mazumdar, MD Biocon; Mr. Bob Kocher, Ex McKinsey; Ms. Ann Jacobson, ED, JCI; Dr. Giridhar Gyani, CEO, NABH and Dr. Atul Gawande. About 2nd International Conference on Transforming Healthcare with IT 2011
The 2nd International Conference on Transforming Healthcare with IT 2011 is being organised by Apollo Hospitals Group in association with a consortium of IT companies including Microsoft, IBM, Alcatel-Lucent, GE, Wipro among others. The Conference is supported by NASSCOM, Dept. of Science & Technology, International Society for Telemedicine & eHealth, Indian Association for Medical Informatics (IAMI) among others.
The Conference will feature over 66 reputed speakers and about 500 delegates from all over the world. The exhibitors at the conference will bring forth the latest advances made in the use of information technology in healthcare.
