Arfaq and Arthur Burnham - V1 Perfume - The World's Most Expensive Perfume

Arfaq commissioned the best in the business. Blended by the legendary English perfumer Arthur Burnham for fashion house Gianni Vive Sulman, the fragrance, which is suitable for both men and women, was inspired by the Phantom V1 Rolls-Royce.

Atelier Dinand was brought on board to build the jewel for the fragrance. 1kg of pure platinum, 18ct gold and ruby crystal captures the beauty and richness of the fragrance whilst remaining faithful to one objective: quality beyond fashion. Finished with a 2.6 carat diamond encrusted wreath, it is as precious as a fine piece of jewellery.

Each is entirely handmade and bears the recipients name, an individual number and hallmarks. The case was built under the craftsmanship of Rolls Royce and GRAFF were commissioned to make an 18ct diamond and ruby encrusted key to the case, which doubled as a pendant.

On 7th November 2001, Gloria Hunniford interviewed Arthur Burnham on the world's most expensive perfume, V1 which was created by Arfaq.

The Dorchester Hotel hosted the star studded V1 perfume launch party. Created by Arthur and Arfaq and with only 173 bottles produced, the Dorchester saw the likes of Janet Jackson, Chris Eubank, Lady Victoria Hervey, Chris Tucker, Randy Jackson and Caprice.

Roja Dove's haute parfumiere at Harrods held a private event to launch the V1 perfume created by Arfaq and Arthur Burnham. "His creations come from pure genius", Roja Dove commented.

In October 2006, it was again featured in the Guinness Book of Records as His Royal Highness Prince Faisal Bin Fahad Bin Abdullah Al Saud of Saudi Arabia commissioned a bespoke one for himself.

In November 2006 at the World Music Awards, Arfaq presented
Michael Jackson with the V1 perfume. Michael Jackson wore V1 when he received the Diamond Award for which celebrated his most popular album "Thriller" selling over 104 million copies worldwide.

Unfortunately we would not be able to buy it, as it is all sold out, because just as only 173 of the latter were ever made. Each of the 173 bottles costed $84,000 (£47,500.)
