Exceptions are Norwegian and Swedish students who have national insurance scheme and are covered and do not need to take up OSHC. Belgian students are covered by a Reciprocal Health Care Agreement and do not need to take up OSHC.Student visa will be valid for the same period as your health insurance through OSHC.australian student visa To arrange your OSHC you can ask your faculty at home to arrange OSHC for you, or if this is not possible, you can find yourself approved OSHC provider and pay the insurance. To office processing your visa you must provide a receipt of your OSHC fee payment before your student visa in Australia can be approved.You cannot have no outstanding debts to the Commonwealth of Australia , or your already made arrangements acceptable to the Minister to repay such debts.If you are under 18 years of age, accommodation arrangements, general welfare and support must be in place.
