There are so many choices that many newentrepreneurs become confused. I’ve been there...and still find myself goingthere. Have you? It canhappen in many different ways. Sometimes I start my day planning on doing onething, then I get distracted with something new that comes along...like anemail offer that’s too good to pass up. I’ve started opting of emails because I’mfinding them too distracting. Anotherthing that happens to me is I listen to a top producer and think “that’s what I’lldo.” Then I listen to another one who’s doing something different, and think “that’swhat I’ll do.” Then I listen to anotherone who’s doing something else, and think “that’s what I’ll do.” Before youknow it, I have so many “that’s what I’ll do,” that I don’t do anything at all. Thereare so many marketing strategies and someone is successful at them. But thefact remains that as a new entrepreneur, you don’t have the experience and knowhow to make them all work. So you have to be choosy about what you do. Althoughthere are many marketing strategies to choose from, here are 5 strategies thatare common among top producers. Irecommend that you start with just one, especially if you don’t have a lot oftime. But don’t do more than two. Becomecomfortable with the one you pick, master it. When you’re comfortable with the strategy, it will become second natureand you will become faster at it. Then add another strategy and master it.Repeat. Thetop 5 marketing strategies of top producers are: 1.Social Media. Social media sites are free to set up. There are also plenty ofinexpensive automation tools to help manage them. These sites are great forpersonal branding. 2. ContentProduction. This is about articles andvideos. At a minimum you should master one of these methods, and if possibleboth. These are free to set up and there are also inexpensive automationtools. Articles and videos are great forpersonal branding, and once you get good at them, you can consider outsourcing. 3.Ezines and Email Marketing. Ezines are online magazines. You can placedifferent kinds of ads in ezines. Email marketing is where you send emails to alist of people interested in business opportunities. The best way to getinvolved is to join a program that offers email marketing. These can beinexpensive as well, depending on the program you use. 4. PayPer Click (PPC). PPC is placing ads on search engines such as Google, Yahoo, andBing. When someone does a search on the engine, the search will show ads. Ifthe searcher clicks on the ad, the advertiser is charged. PPC is the top dog when it comes tomarketing, but it’s very competitive and you can lose your shirt if you don’tknow what you’re doing. 5.Relationship List-Building. This strategy involves the use of an autoresponder.Keeping in contact with your leads is essential for personal branding and forestablishing yourself as an expert. You can also introduce your subscribers todifferent products. Wejust lightly brushed on these strategies. You have to dig in deeper tounderstand what’s involved in each in order to learn them and master them. Byfocusing on one at a time though, you can overcome the sense of confusion thatcan confront even the most seasoned entrepreneur.
