But the minute the water gets a little rocky and Peter takes his eyes from Jesus, he starts to sink. Jesus catches him in addition to says, "oh, ye of little faith. " This story, when left on content, is about the disciples' inability to cast out a demon in a man's son. After Jesus casts out the demon, your disciples ask him, "How is it that we were unable to cast out this demon? " And his answer was, "Because you have so little faith. "But if you look through the bible and see situations where Jesus praises folks who have BIG faith you'll find that great faith is what pleases Him. Remember the actual Centurion who's servant was home dying. He said to be able to Jesus, if you just speak the word, my servant will be healed. Jesus "astonished" turns to the crowd and states, "I haven't found so much faith in all of Israel. "Remember the woman with the issue of hold. Her faith is what healed her. In fact, after almost every healing miracle, Jesus says "By your faith, you happen to be healed. " Or, "as it is your faith, therefore shall it be. "So, with this information, does it make sense to you that all you need in your life is a little faith, faith the size to be a mustard seed, to move mountains from YOUR life? NO!!! Jesus was stating the OPPOSITE. But this got me curios. Why would Jesus say anything with regards to a mustard seed? I mean, He DID say that all you needed was faith the length of a mustard seed. A mustard seed is one of your smallest seeds around. So, why would he even mention it? It's kind of confusing, right? Did you realise that a mustard seed, although it is one of the seeds around, when planted and nourished, turns into the most significant trees in the garden? Therefore, in Matthew 17: 20, Jesus wasn't telling us that every one we needed was a little faith. Jesus was telling us if we plant faith within our hearts, and nourish the idea, or DEVELOP it, and allow it to grow as a mustard seed-then and only then can we speak to the present mountain and tell it to move from here to help there, and it will move. Stick with me and I'm going to teach you how to develop that Mustard Seed Hope.
