As of July 24, 2009 - a month has passed since the Artania Equestrian Circus reins was abruptly pulled from its tour.  The water and electricity at the circus grounds were turned off, and at 105 degrees, there stood 19 horses and  50 performers left abandoned by the show's promoter.  Ticket purchasers were not informed and when arriving for the performance were greeted by a handwritten "show is cancel" sign.  While purchasers await for refunds the response they receive is similar to the performers - nothing.  Furious, ticket purchasers are left with emptied pockets while the performers were left with no money and no show. The promoter allegedly took off with their money and never paid for the bills. Their first time here in the United States, the performers may have gotten a rude awakening in "modern-day American thievery" as quoted on myfoxdfw.com. Their English is limited, depress and down a glimpse of hope shines through.  Lisa Blackmon of The Black Star Sport Horse Ranch in Rockwall, TX opens her ranch for the 19 horses and 50 performers.  Blackmon has allowed the Artania Equestrian Circus to perform at her ranch on weekends to help get them back on their feet and touring again.  Lisa says, "they're are learning something else now: How to trust again." With  hope and determination, Mairbek Kantemirov, the show's creator is best defined by a simple quote: “Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful people with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Calvin Collidge The promoter can abandon the show, the performers, and leave it with nothing ; but he cannot take away the talent and determination of the Cirque.  The American Dream of Life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness; it is only here where when one believes anything can come true. The show renamed and renewed, Le Cirque Artania|Pravda=truth, tells a story of Cirque life - day, life, experience.  The performance best described as a -human-equine burlesque experience that enters your heart and leaves your soul. The magnificent connections of creature and man unveils. Artania|Pravda=truth featured 50 acrobats, aerialists, contortionists, tumblers, and 19 of the rarest Russian thoroughbred horses. An extraordinary blue-eyed Albino horse and an Akhalteke stallion, whose origins date back to Alexander the Great were featured in the show. This historic story behind Artania|Pravda=truth is one of triumph and determination.  The Cirque has been #1 in Europe, Russia, Niagara, and Canada.
