The cluster is now paying nativewater truck drivers to fill these tanks within the poorest components of thecity.   International Action staffs are addingchlorine to every truckload of water. Every truck holds 3000 gallons of waterand will create 5 journeys on a daily basis to several components of the city.So so much, International Action is renting 10 trucks each day and plans onrenting still more as roads are cleared of earthquake debris.   Since Might of 2006, InternationalAction has installed chlorinators on water tanks in Port-au-Prince. With 140installations, the group has equipped clean water each day to 400,000 poorHaitians.   In the first three days once the quake,Dalebrun Esther, the Haitian director of the cluster, provided twenty,000gallons of water to the poorest neighborhoods using the teams’ small trucktank. Now, he devotes his time to recruiting industrial truckers who normallyhaul water to wealthy neighborhoods and vendors who can pay higher sums forwater. International Action is funding the truckers to succeed in poorneighborhoods in the crisis, and adding chlorine for safety.   International Action is developing aarrange for rebuilding a minimum of 23 water tanks broken by the quake, andadding water tanks in those neighborhoods currently while not water tanks. Thiseffort can reach a pair of million residents during a period of five years.
