There are many people that prefer buying brand-new cars because they believe a freshly produced car is a lot better in terms of performance as compared to a used car; but others prefer buying news cars to show off their purchasing ability. Just a reminder: Buying brand-new cars isn’t always a smart move.
Brand-new cars may look fresh and elegant, but a lot of people are slowly changing their thoughts regarding buying used cars—and with good reason. There are advantages to buying used cars, like these four areas of thought:
Depreciation rate. You don’t have to worry about it as much. Remember that a brand-new car starts to lose its value the moment you drive it outside of the showroom. Sell it a year later, and you’ll probably lose up to a third of the original amount you’ve paid. However, since a used car is often bought at a depreciated price, you won’t lose much if you decide to sell it later on.
Retail price. The amount of both the market value and the tax base are higher on a brand-new car. Used cars can only impose lower taxes and other transaction expenses. Thus, the actual selling price of used cars is much lower than brand-new ones.
Practicality. Drive a car for the purpose of utility, not for the purpose of spending too much on a brand-new one. Same object, same purpose, disparity in the amount of expenditure. Get real. Decide whether you wish to buy a luxury chariot, a workhorse or both combined. Check out the used cars in Burlington, Ontario.
Flexible financial schemes. Used vehicles Burlington dealers make room for more flexible price rates. With enough negotiating skills, you might just be able to deflate a car’s selling price to just about half of its original selling price.
Buying used used cars in Burlington, Ontario is all about saving as much as you can. It’s also about getting your money’s worth. True, you get what you pay for; but with a little nudge at the negotiating table, you just might get a little more added value to the money that you part with.
