This is a gorgeous little 12.1Mp digital camera by Canon which fits comfortably into your hand. Canon have crammed it full of features -it incorporates a 28mm wide angle lens, a 4x optical zoom, 12.1 megapixel resolution, a 2.7" LCD display screen, and plenty of intelligent settings and modes to boost your photo taking capabilities.

The 12.1 MP resolution ensures that you are able to enlarge your photo prints by as much as 13x19 inches. The large, bright LCD screen generates clear, bright images, and is also scratch-resistant and has an anti-reflective layer. It even includes a Night time Display setting so that you are able to take a look at photographs even if it is dark.

Furnished with Canon's superb Optical Image Stabilizer, this SD1300 IS automatically decreases the fuzzy results of camera shake, even when using the zoom.

Canon has also designed a Low Light mode for this SD1300IS, which ensures that even in conditions where there is not really a great deal of ambient light and you don't wish to use the flash, you can obtain brilliant color and fine detail in your photograph.

The Smart Auto mode will automatically choose the ideal settings for the image that you would like to take, so you can concentrate on the subject as opposed to all of the technical details. If you like to have a bit more control, on the other hand, you will find fifteen shooting modes which you can pick from!

Pros

For a compact digital camera, many individuals felt that the picture quality, particularly at lower ISOs was fantastic, and they were happy with the results even when they'd printed and enlarged them. These people also said that the automatic settings generally produced great results.

The battery life is pretty respectable; one individual noted that he took over three hundred photographs before needing to change the battery.

Many people also asserted that the camera is incredibly simple to use, even if you haven't used a Canon previously. The menus and control keys are clear and straightforward to work with.

Somebody else was pleasantly impressed by how well the IS (Image Stabilizer) and also the Low Light settings performed.

Cons

Some things that one particular customer didn't like about this camera was that there was no memory card bundled with it, and there's no viewfinder (you will need to compose your picture making use of the LCD screen).

Some people are a little dissatisfied with "soft" or blurry images, particularly in lower lighting conditions.

The position of the pop-up flash has also been a problem for some - they mentioned that it is in a location in which you would naturally have your finger whilst taking a picture. They also said that the cheap camera casing was lightweight and susceptible to scrapes and damage.

An additional issue that some had was with the delay between the photograph being taken, and then showing up on the LCD display screen.

The Canon SD1300 IS is a cool and compact little digital camera that would be ideal to bring along with you anywhere you go so that you will never have to pass up a photo opportunity! Comprising plenty of features to make it easier to take full advantage of each situation, this camera will more than satisfy the demands of most consumers.
