There are many different strategies that employers use for hiring new people, including psychological testing. If you're put into this position, you need to understand how it works, what it proves, and what you can do to get the best results. Keep reading to learn more! Companies are starting to hire again and they are using a lot of ways to wade through all of the applicants to find the best one. Psychological testing is becoming a big factor now. Of course you have your resume which talks about what you have done in the past and your interview can give them an idea how what you are like, but psychological testing can shed some light on how you will preform in this job. Don't try to predict the questions or answer how you think they want you to respond. Just be yourself and answer the questions honestly. Another pointer: don't worry about how absurd some of the questions seem. Some people might wonder what the questions mean or how they're relevant to the job, but trust that as long as you answer truthfully you will be fine. For example, if you are asked 'What do you do when a colleague takes credit for your work', you obviously will answer that you either say something or you remain quiet and do nothing about it. Of course, the variables of the situation will be different and you might want to say that you'll go back to your desk and complain about what a jerk the person is. That's probably not the answer that they want to hear. They just want to know if you're going to be a pushover, a nark, or if you're going to find a balance where you get the credit that you deserve without being overtly furious about the situation. You have to make sure that you just answer honestly and don't try to decipher what they want so much. Otherwise, you will likely stress yourself out and provide wrong answers because you think it's what they want to hear. Hiring processes for every company is different. You just need to make sure that to give yourself a leg up, you are preparing for any kind of technique they could use. Build your resume, practice your interviewing skills and make sure that you know psychological testing may be involved and you will be well prepared and do great. Six sigma is becoming bigger now and it seems like the greatest thing to do to get yourself ahead of the game career wise.
