Wine is an alcoholic beverage that can be served at a party or enjoyed with close friends. It is made from fermented grape juice in the process using yeast. Yeast consumes the sugar inside grape juice and converts it to alcohol. Wine is also made from other kinds of fruit such as apples or cherries.All grape juices are colorless. To obtain the color in red wine beverages the grapes are soaked with their skin until the red color drains out. Tannin is a natural substance that gives wine its flavor. In the process of soaking the grapes, the amount of tannin increases. Wines which happen to have a high amount of tannin will age quicker.Since there are many different kinds of wine it may be difficult to choose one. Wine cannot simply be categorized as red wine or white wine. In the matter of red wine, there is Shiraz, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Zinfandel, and many more.Take Barbera. Barbera resembles a Merlot but less popular. This wine is acidic and typically used for a blending wine. Then there is Merlot. The name merlot means you can easily drink. This is an excellent choice for first time customers. It has a softer taste and higher alcohol content. Merlots are mild and less acidic as compared to Barbera wine. Both wines possess a cherry and plum flavor.Cabernet Sauvignon is the commonest red wine in The united states. Its name means The King of Red Wines. This purple colored wine beverages is blended with Cabernet Franc and Merlot. Some of the best tasting Cabernets are aged for over a decade in oak barrels. A Cabernet contains a black currant flavor and also a spicy aroma.Pinot Noir may not be as available as the prior wines because Pinot Noir grapes are difficult to grow. This wine has a light color and the amount of tannin is less. Juicy flavors of strawberry, dark cherry, spices, and mint consume the taste of a Pinot Noir wine. Several wine experts will characterize the flavor as velvety and seductive.A Shiraz, often called a Syrah, is a smaller amount acidic. This causes it to become easier to drink. However, a French Shriaz is very acidic. Fruit and spice are the flavors that define this red wine. A Zinfandel is light and subtle. Although this is a red wine it can also be found in white options. Zinfandels have a berry taste which include raspberry, blackberry, and cranberry. The following wine has moderate acidity and high alcohol content.Red wine offers several health benefits and can help prevent cardiovascular diseases. Wine is a good gift idea especially during the holiday season. Although there are several types to choose from, each wine has several qualities to please whoever receives it. Another way to find the perfect wine is to venture to a wine bar or tasting room to find out which wine pleases you the most.
