The tour combines points of interest in the city that highlight historical facts, whimsical anecdotes, and popular attractions. Your trek back into time will include exploring galleries, shops, and museums, and entertainment such as mariachis, dancers, and period attire guides on tours. You can even enjoy fresh, homemade tortillas made by one of San Diego's Old Town Tortilla ladies. The Old Town market allows visitors to see first hand how the Mexican settlers built their homes and lives in the area. The tour also includes a visit to the island of Coronado to explore the historic Hotel del Coronado. The Old Town Trolley Tours of San Diego was voted "Best Way To See The City" by SignOnSanDiego making it great stop for all San Diego summer interns. Many restaurants and bars across the country require their employees to pool their tips into one big reserve which is then divided across all employees evenly at the end of the night. Playing into this is that the restaurant may pay the employees less than minimum wage and then use the tips to bring the wage up to minimum wage or above.Those two events-looking for money in other people's mail when I was five and the intense drive to succeed in getting new subscribers for the Detroit Free Press-are connected. I probably wouldn't have had the emotional intensity about being successful if I hadn't been propelled by the fear of not having enough.Some of us can easily think of our "first memories" when we were very young, but others more easily recall the delight of getting their first paycheck from their first job in high school or the finances related to some other important event in their lives. Most of us can remember several events pertaining to money that shaped our lives. The important issue is to reflect on events that are important enough for us to remember them. Each of these is probably significant in more ways than we first imagine.Invite someone you love to share their first memories of money with you and after you've listened closely to their story, share your own story with them. I hope you can already begin to see how valuable this exercise could be for your family. I know. I am one. I have been able to find two great ways to succeed financially despite my recent felony record. As you know if you are a felon, almost all employers require a background check these days, and with the already stiff competition we face as job-seekers due to the job market, it is even tougher to find good jobs when you have that ugly felony that you have to disclose.I used to be a high school Spanish teacher earning $45K a year but in 2006 I made a terrible mistake. I cheated on my wife with one of my former senior students who was 17 at the time, and, though we didn't have intercourse, I (understandably) lost my career.
