There may be some time, you want or need to change you Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard. How to Reset Password On Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard Without Installation DVD
Step 1:
Restart your Mac OS X 10.6, then hold Command and S keys down during start-up
Step 2:
Enter the following command options, and either of them will work, when the command prompt shows
Command 1:
passwd USERNAME
Command 2;
dscl . -passwd /Users/USERNAME
In the commands above, USERNAME is the short name of the account, this is usually the name of the user's home folder, so at this same command prompt you can list the home folders on the system by running the following command:
ls /Users
Step 3:
Restart the Mac OS X 10.6 by entering "reboot" at command prompt, when a new password has been set for the account.
