We consume alot of product throughout the day. The question of the protection of the rightsof the common consumer holds utmost importance in 21 st century. Theindustrial revolution and the development in the international trade andcommerce has led to the vast expansion of business and trade, as a result ofwhich ConsumerProtection rights need to be safeguarded.   To provide speedy and quick redressel to consumer disputes,a consumer forum has been introduced. Consumer Forum will observe theprinciples of natural justice and have been empowered to give reliefs of aspecific nature and to award, wherever appropriate, compensation to consumers.If the customer rights are not taken care of by an organization or a personconcerned then a customer has every liberty to file a legal complaint againstit. Consumer Complaint forum is a way to lodge a customer complaint online. Legal complaint can be filed by means ofa complain letter which is a way of achieving one’s demand in a firm andrespectful manner. A person doesn’t have to run from a lawyer to other to filehis complaint. Online Customer forum is a platform where customers are providedwith guidelines and advices for proceeding their complaints and filing it. Thisprocedure saves time as well as money.   In a consumer forum, one has to fill up an online consumercomplaint form and write about the queries. The complaint will be answered bythe team of experts who will give advice on the legal procedures to befollowed. The process saves a lot of time and even a lot of undue cost.Consumer forum helps to protect consumerrights which people are sometimes not aware of.   Our Government has implemented six consumer protection rights. The six rights are Right to Safety,Right to Information, Right to Choice, Right to be heard, The Right to Redress,The right to consumer education. As a consumer we expect that the six rightswhich have been implemented by the Government should be strictly executed bythe organizations to safeguard customer protection. Consumer Forum acts to provide for betterprotection of the interests of consumers and for that purpose to make provisionfor the establishment of consumer councils and other authorities for thesettlement of consumers’ disputes and for matters connected therewith. A Consumer Complaints forum enables to provide some relief to the consumers from the exploitation ofthe manufacturers and organizations concerned so that they could be saved fromadulterated and sub-standard goods and services and to safe guard theirinterest. In addition, the production of the same item by many firms has leftthe consumers with little time to make a selection, to think before they canpurchase the best. For the welfare of the public, the overabundance ofadulterated and sub-standard articles in the market has to be checked andconsumer forum is a platform which checks any kind of injustice.
