If you are a fan of video sharing websites like YouTube, Dailymotion, Metacafe and so on, you must have shared numerous video on them. However, have you ever tried to upload some DVD movie clips to these websites? If you are not familiar with multimedia video converting tool, I bet you never did such a thing, as you do not know how to do it.
Nevertheless, here I can share with you a way to realize this to broaden the content of your video sharing. To share DVD movie clips on video sharing websites, we need to convert dvd to flv, or MP4, or MOV, or 3GP, or 3G2 with H.264 encoder, because these video formats are the flash video formats supported by video sharing websites.
Then, how to convert DVD to flash video formats? Well, we need to use a DVD converter. To the best of my knowledge, Leawo DVD to FLV Converter is the exact one that can convert DVD to FLV and H.264 encoded MP4, MOV, 3GP, and 3G2.
The program is very easy to use. It does not require you any knowledge in multimedia conversion field to operate it. Just download it and set it up to have a try. On its main interface, you can see a concise user guide. Just follow this instruction, and then you can get what you want.
First, add your DVD movies to this program by clicking the Add button on the menu bar. Then you can see your movies in the list; double click them to preview them. At the same time, during the preview, you can take snapshot of your movies and save them in picture format by clicking the camera button below the preview window.

Second, you can choose to edit your movies by clicking the Edit button which is also on the menu bar. For example, you can trim off the unnecessary part of your movies to retain just what you want to share. And you can add a special image watermark or input a text watermark to your movie clips to mark and protect them from copying when they are on website. And if some of your movies have black edges, you can remove them by cropping. You can even adjust the video effect as you like.
Third, select any one of the flash video formats from the drop down list of Profile. Also, you can adjust the video and audio parameter settings of the output video format. But if you are not an expert in this field, you'd better leave them alone. Otherwise, the output video effect may be affected.
Last, you can click the Convert button to start the conversion. This program will convert your movie clips at a time automatically.
By the way, this converter also has a mac version, which is specially made to help mac users to convert dvd to flv for mac.
