Data recovery is possible, in the general conditions. As such, in most cases, considerable amount of recovery is generally possible if, the measures to recover the lost data is applied soon after the loss of data. However, we need to know the causes of data loss, in order to retrieve the data, in a safe manner. The data can be lost in many ways, yet the most typical causes are:
Removing hard drive Accidental, Erasure or format the system.
Operating system failure or software crash.
Infection by viruses or spy ware.
Malicious or intentional deletion of data.
Physical damage to the storage medium, IE. Scratched CD / DVD.
The hard disk failure, due to physical or logical reasons.
Simple accidental deletion can be considered as the most common cause of data loss. More often, when the affected storage device is brought immediately after the incident, it is possible to get 100% recovery of the lost data. Secondly, data loss may also occur when there has been an operating system failure. In such circumstances, it is very likely that the data is still intact on the hard disk, but may not be accessible in the standard way. It is considered that full recovery of data should be possible in most cases. Spy ware and virus infections can also cause system failures and data destruction. Data recovery process can vary, depending on how much damage has occurred. Malicious destruction of data occurs when data is intentionally destroyed or deleted. Again, data retrieval, in this case will vary depending on the skill and rigor of the person responsible for the loss of data. If, the person has intentionally taken care to destroy the data in such a manner that it cannot be retrieved by any means, then it will really be difficult to get back the data.
The most serious data loss occurs when a system experiences a serious error of hardware. As such, this type of data loss is associate with the physical damage to the hard drive. In some cases, portions of the hard disk can be become completely unreadable. To recover data from physically damaged hard drive needs to be handled with the specialized equipment and techniques, that can be quite costly. Fortunately, a hardware failure is the least common type of data loss. In each of such cases, as soon as, the affected hardware is brought to the analysis, the best are the chances of recovery can be done. Even in the worst cases, partial recovery should be possible.
There are two broad categories for data recovery:
Logical failure: If, the hard drive is mechanically sound and spinning properly, it means that the operating system recognizes the device and all the mechanical parts inside the hard drive are working properly. However, there could be some reason that the data is not accessible through ordinary means. (This may include accidental deletion, operating system crash, format, or intentionally causing lost partitions or boot records.)
Mechanical or physical failure: If, the hard drive is physically damaged in some way. An internal part in the hard drive stopped working properly. The hard disk can cause cracking or is not recognized by the operating system. (This can be a hard drive crash or failure of the control board.)
Data loss is most likely to be lying intact on the hard drive unless new data has been written over the lost data. When you delete a file or drive is formatted, the data are actually removed, and the area in which the data was stored is simply reassigned to store the fresh data. In case of mechanical or physical failure, data can remain intact on the disk platters but is not accessible due to some mechanical failure. Data recovery from a physically damaged hard drive needs to be handled in a delicate manner and must needs to be done using specialized equipment and processes.
In the case of a failure, either logical or physical failure is a good chance that the data can be retrieved successfully if, the attempt to recover the data is done immediately after the data loss. Whenever you face the problem of data loss, you must not rush to recover the data, on your own. You must seek the help of the reputable data recovery service provider, to retrieve the data, in the safe and secure manner.
