The slow cooker comes in many different shapes and forms and if you’re looking to buy one for your home, you’ll want to identify which type of slow cooker is right for you. There are a number of different types of slow cookers that work great for all types of cooking activities. This article will briefly discuss a few of the different types of slow cookers so that you have some idea of which one you may want to purchase for yourself. The first type of slow cooker is the basic slow cooker which is most commonly purchased by household chefs throughout the world. This model is very simple in that there are manual controls which must be operated by you in order to make the slow cooker work. The heat settings are usual high, low, and warming which is used to keep the food warm once it has been cooked. The bowl can either be fixed or removable. If you want the removable bowl, chances are you are going to have to pay a little more. Next is the automatic version of the slow cooker. This model is similar to the standard model with the exception of having automatic controls which allow you to set the cooking times you would like. Once these cooking times are set, the cooker does the work for you by turning on and off at those designated times. There is even an option to go to warming mode once the cooking time has expired. Finally, there are mini slow cookers which are quite a bit smaller than the other models, but are great for cooking small dishes like dips, soups, and deserts, and are also great for single serving meals. These slow cookers are typically less expensive and are also available anywhere slow cookers are sold. If you’re looking to buy a slow cooker for your home, hopefully you’ve gained a little information on the different types so that you know which one is right for you.
