Facing a failure is a very difficult thing. Life is always full of unprecedented events. In the case of unexpected turn of things, at times the mind is flabbergasted. When people do not know how to face a situation, they revert to either self pity or they develop a hatred for society. The solution for overcoming pity or hatred is in the right use of Mind power. With the unflinching help of mind, anyone can resolve the shock of failure.

Stop Blaming Others

In order to avoid being a perpetual failure, one needs to stop blaming others for one's own faults. It is one thing to commit a blunder, and another thing to find a scapegoat for that blunder. Follies, as long as they are your own follies, are good. They help you to humble down and look at things in a new light.

Self Meditation

The minute a person stops blaming others, life turn over a new leaf for him. Then is the right time for self confessions followed by self meditation. When the shock of failure hits and you realize that it was nobody's fault but your own, you need to give yourself some time. The best thing would be to sit silently for a long while and think back in time.

Retrospective meditation techniques

Looking backwards in times gives a person a chance to experience things in different light. Failures are remarkable for their potential of humbling down a person. The naturally high ego of man expects him to always look at his own image in a positive light. A failure is good because it shows the other side of the mirror. Utilizing the mind power, one can perfect his retrospective meditation. With the help of this technique a failure can become a positive phenomenon. In fact looking back in time, a failure can stop looking like a failure and look more like a valuable experience which made you think about yourself in a newer and more positive light.

Comparative Meditative Technique

Psychology maintains that very individual has a real and ideal sense of themselves. The real self refers to the perceptions of the self in which the individual is currently working. The ideal self on the other hand is the self to which the individual aspires. The ideal self is a direct result of the comparative meditation. People have the tendency to internalize the goals and desires of others. Also at times we internalize others expectations from us as well.

Positive Effect of Comparative Meditation

If the technique of comparative meditation is employed in a positive manner, then success in form of personal growth can be guaranteed. But on the other hand if the process is tinged with envy and regret, then harmful effects can be seen. Anger and frustration can be the minimum damage of a comparative meditation gone sore. Discrepancies between a person’s real and ideal self can lead to his vulnerability to negative emotions and destroy his mind power.
