Most people try various techniques such as surgeries and non-surgical methods such as lipo-dissolve, liposuction for losing weight quickly. However, these methods can only shed those fats temporarily. It is always advisable to engender metabolism from within for stimulating fat burning.

As a parent you have to learn how to say NO to your child. Some children will say they are hungry all the time and would eat constantly if you allow it. Ensure that the child has adequate meals and perhaps a healthy snack say a piece of fruit in between but you must stand firm against the constant moans and groans.

Limit your calories in a smart way - I've never believed in extreme diets because I feel like once people fall off the wagon most, or all, of the weight returns. Instead, make gradual dietary changes and each time you sit down at a meal make smart choices. Do things such as drink water or unsweetened iced tea instead of soda, use low calorie salad dressing, and eat slower with smaller portions. If you are excessively overweight, work with a dietary professional.

Have your breakfast in the morning, and don't eat a large meal at dinner time. Instead, eat smaller meals throughout the day. Spread your small meals throughout the day with a gap of two or three hours between each meal. This will help increase your metabolism. However it is advisable not to make the gaps between each meal too long, because even a five-six hour gap between two meals can decrease your metabolism. Not only do you need to break your large meals into smaller meals, you also need to alter your diet and eat only those foods which will help increase your metabolism. Try to include more protein, whole grains, beans, vegetables and fruits in your diet.

Include sources of low-fat protein, such as chicken, beans, low fat yogurt, fish, cottage cheese, and so on, in your diet. Don't have eggs, red meat, and nuts every day, but only as occasional treats.

Clothing: Wear well fitting, rather than too tight or too loose fitting clothes. Since you do not intend to go back to your heavier self, throw away the big size clothes. When you wear well fitting clothes, in case of any increase in weight, it will ring alarm bells.

If you want to burn fat and prevent your body from gaining back the fat, you must stabilize your blood sugar. In order to do this, you need to eat every two to three hours, which includes healthy snacking (mid morning and mid afternoon). Fasting, skipping meals or overly restrictive diets will enable you to lose weight but only in a short term; the weight you lose is water weight and muscle tissue. When you restrict your food intake, your body instinctively thinks it’s being starved and shifts into a protective mode by slowing down your metabolism and storing nearly all your calories as body fat. Losing muscles is the last thing you want.
