February Mobile of the Month: Indulge Mobile Spa

It starts as soon as you type the website’s URL, www.indulgemobilespa.com .  Richly colored brown is accented by baby soft pink.  A photo of a relaxed woman receiving a massage places a grin on your lips.  The Eco-Spa Party Event Planning, Spa Party Package, and Corporate Wellness Services menu options spark your interest.  You find yourself completely willing yourself over to the company’s goal: indulgence.  Business partners Cameo Person and Tammy Carmon know just how to bring a stellar experience straight to you, right down to their website–the greatest marketing tool for any mobile spa company. Like Indulge Mobile Spa’s mission statement declares, their commitment to “providing professional spa services with integrity, confidence and class” is an absolute reflection of its founders’ backgrounds.  Person, a seasoned Massage Therapist, and Carmon, an in-demand Nail Technician, met at a high-end spa and decided that starting a mobile spa would be a wonderful convenience to their customers.  What started as a Washington, D.C. metro-area luxury has evolved into a nationwide mobile experience, treating clients to massages, nail services, and esthetic treatments.  The mobile company is eco-conscious and promotes the use of natural and organic products, right down to the massage oils and soy-based nail polish removers.  Person shares, “We started this company with the hope that we could teach women the importance of taking time out for themselves and also the importance of spending time with friends and family through spa parties.” Spa parties have definitely come a long way for these two.  Person says about Indulge Mobile Spa’s first spa party that, “My partner and I laugh about it to this day! We had eight ladies for the spa party and Tammy [Carmon] and I showed up (just the two of us!) with our products and equipment ready to work! We were very understaffed, the services were way under-priced and our presentation was certainly in need of repair!”  Nonetheless, Person and Carmon left that evening—a “very long evening,” Person mentions—with positive reviews from very appreciative women.  Person notes that this was the moment she realized that “we really had something good in Indulge Mobile Spa…it made me feel like I was really helping people and making them happy.” That good feeling has transferred to community involvement for the mobile spa as well.  Indulge Mobile Spa has supported the Tiger Lily Foundation, an organization committed to supporting young women with breast cancer, and The Duffy House which supports domestic violence survivors.  What’s next for Indulge Mobile Spa?  In March of this year the ladies will be launching their eco-friendly product line.
