Being financially unfit doesn’t make you unfit for acquiring a college degree. If you know you got what it takes to make it, by all means, pursue college and finish it. Those experiences may even give you an edge among other applicants when you’re already looking for a job. Another advantage is that it gives you many opportunities to widen your network and it helps to know the right people.

So if you believe you deserve it, go for it. The trick to getting the grant is to research beforehand. Remember, there are also many like you out there whose goal is to make their lives better. So focus on getting that.
