The course is updated every three years, with the CPR component updated every 12 months.
At the completion of the eight-hour course, an assessment covering a demonstration of practical skills, role plays, case studies and a written quiz is given.
On successful completion, participants are issued with a Statement of Attainment for the nationally recognised unit of competency from the Health Training Package, HLTFA201A - Provide Basic Emergency Life Support.
