For the seventh time since "Doctor Who" was revived in 2005, the Doctor will be coming home for Christmas.
During last night's Children in Need telethon on BBC, the first trailer for this year's "Doctor Who" Christmas special was unveiled. It was also revealed that the title for the episode is "The Doctor, the Widow and the Wardrobe," a play off of the classic C.S. Lewis novel, "The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe;" which was apparently an inspiration for this installment.
Set in the height of the Blitz during World War II, the story finds a widow named Madge Arwell (Claire Skinner) and her children Cyril (Maurice Cole) and Lily (Holly Earl) taking shelter at old house, where the Doctor (Matt Smith) is posing as a caretaker with his mysterious blue box. Bill Bailey ("Black Books"), Arabella Weir Doctor Who ("The Fast Show") and Alexander Armstrong ("Armstrong & Miller") are also set to appear within the episode.
