However, depending on thetype of water will depend on what kind of fish you can hope to find, and in a lot of cases, what type of equipment you will need. Freshwater is usually the term for most lakes, rivers and streams withinAmerica. Here, you are most likely to find trout, bass, catfish andpike. Salt water is obviously found within the ocean, but many riversand coastal waterways are also great places to find saltwater wishalso. Depending on the depth of that water, fishermen can hope tofind a variety of fish including swordfish, tuna and bluefish. Deepsea fishing is known to be the more exciting method of fishing, mainly because it is entirely based within the ocean. When deep seafishing, the main aim is to attempt to catch some of the largest fishwhich are known to habitat the ocean such as tuna, swordfish and evensharks. This differs from normal fishing however, as it requires alot of strength and skill due to the heavy fishing poles which areneeded. Like many hobbies, it is vey important when fishingthat you look into getting the best equipment possible for the methodof fishing you will be participating in. But in this case, you willneed to know what equipment you will require. For recreationalfishing, you mostly require a rod, a fishinggear , a reel and a lure. A rod is simply a long pole on which ahooked lure or bait is attached on to the end. They are most commonlymade of fiberglass or traditionally, bamboo. They come in a varietyof lengths, but typically it stands that the longer the rod, thegreater advantage you have when casting. A fishing reel is a devicewhich is used for the development and retrieval of a fishing line. They are traditionally used for recreational fishing which is calledangling, and although usually used with a fishing line, they can alsobe mounted directly onto boats. There are many different types offishing reel, and depending on the type of fishing you are looking todo will depend on the type of reel you will require. These typesinclude: centrepin, bait casting, spinning, spin cast, under spin andreel/drag mechanisms. Lures are also important pieces of equipmentand are objects which are attached to the end of a fishing line inorder to attract fish to your line. Using movement, vibration andcolor, their aim is to resemble and move like the prey of a fish inorder to make them bite which will result in a catch. Again, thereare many different types of lure and depending on the type of fishand the type of water you are fishing in will depend on howsuccessful you are in catching some fish of your own. Sowhether you are interested in fishing for fun or for competition, itis very important that you know what kind of water you are fishingin, in order to get the best from your fishing experience. For manyyears it has remained on of the greatest pastimes enjoyed by many allaround the world, and by the looks of things, it doesn’t seem to belosing its fan base anytime soon.
