Five Modules to Play Six Levels of Kevin Bacon With Footloose Remake.

No, Kevin Bacon isn't in the new Footloose film. Or is he?

As you should have got wind, moviedom's original terpsichore Ren is no more than a six credits away from anyone who's anybody on Planet Hollywood.

So, how is Bacon related to the just-released remaking of his 1980s classic? Again we ask, how isn't he?

FILM REVIEW: New Footloose a guilty joy.

1. The Guys Who Almost Represented Ren 2.0: Bacon worked on Beauty Shop with Queen Latifah, who worked on Hairspray with Zac Efron, who was the assumed Footloose refashion star from 2007-2009. As for Chace Crawford, who also acted footsie with the long-in-the-works movie? He appeared in the play Twelve for Joel Schumacher, who conducted Bacon in Flatliners.

2. The Hombre Who Did Play Ren 2.0 : You'd think this one might be toughened since Kenny Wormald does n't have a wealth of credit ratings, but, nah. Wormald's solitary pre-Footloose starring credit rating is the TV-movie, Center Stage: Turn It Up, which also starred Peter Gallagher, who appeared in American Beauty, which had the pre-Harold John Cho, who starred with guess-who in the indie ensemble play The Air I Breathe.

3. The Soundtrack: And, no, we don't mean the old Kenny Loggins soundtrack, although Loggins' "Footloose" figures conspicuously in the remaking. We mean the all-new Footloose vocalisers and music-makers, like, say, One Tree Hill's Jana Kramer, who treats the "Let's Hear It for the Boy" update. She appeared in Prom Night with (and was very in short got married to) Johnathon Schaech, who came apart out in That Thing You Do!, which was made by Tom Hanks, who got lost in space with Bacon in Phoebus Apollo 13.

4. The Location: The new Footloose was shot in Georgia, which is the home res publica of The Closer DVD's Leigh Johnson, who's represented by Kyra Sedgwick, who's got married to some guyoh, yes, Bacon.

5. The Property Master?! Yes, the property man. Dwight Benjamin-Creel worked out that occupation on Footloose, even as he did on X-Men: First Class, which Bacon appeared therein summertime. OK, well, technically, per IMDb.com, Benjamin-Creel was the second-unit propman on X-Men, but the point rests: Bacon. Everywhere. Except at a theatre near you this weekend.
