OK, in truth, I'll probably forget to watch the "Mad Men" premier this weekend. That's why I have my (sometimes) trusty DVR, right?

America is gearing up for the much-anticipated premier of AMC's "Mad Men". And when I say America, I mean the POTUS.

Apparently President Barack Obama is a big fan.

He recently wrote a letter to the show's creator Matthew Weiner saying as much. Weiner wouldn't disclose the exact contents of the letter. But he was thrilled to know Obama's watching.

"I think he's really in touch with the population, and I think if America's interested in things, he's interested in them," Weiner told Ontheredcarpet.com at a red carpet event last night. "But you know what, I'm a huge fan of Obama. I can't imagine how different his life is than mine and that my work is in front of his eyes and on his mind, even for a few minutes - it's the ultimate audience."

In case your forgot, season three ended with Don Draper leaving Sterling Cooper to create his own agency.

Uhoh. Sounds like it won't be smooth sailing this season. The episode summary on AMC's website says this about the premier: "Don makes a mistake that jeopardizes the new agency."

Oh, Don. When will you learn?
