Many PowerPoint presentations include graphics, texts and PowerPoint's built-in animation. However, effectively adding sound tracks to a presentation can really make it stand out. If you have some music files downloaded or purchased from Apple iTunes store, Here is a short tutorial about how to add iTunes music to your PowerPoint presentation.
Before we begin, we should be clear that PowerPoint only works with certain types of media files such as WMA, WAV, MP3, AIFF, AU, MIDI. But The iTunes library is full of a different kind of file that only works on iTunes. So you need to convert iTunes songs to MP3 or WMA format before adding iTunes music to PowerPoint. You will also need to make sure that you have all of the copyright permissions and performing rights clearances to be able to store the music in your presentation.

How to import the new iTunes music to PowerPoint
After you get the PPT-friendly iTunes music files, open your PowerPoint Presentation, insert music from the main menu Insert > Movies and Sounds > Sound from file.
Then from the Files of Type drop down box select WMA format.
You will then get a message about how you want the music to start, do one of the following:
- Click "Automatically" if you want to play the sound automatically when you go to the slide.
- Click "When Clicked" if you want to play the sound when you click the sound icon Presentation.
Tip1: If you want the music to play during multiple slides. Select your music file then Right click (not the usual left click) and select Custom Animation. Then select Multimedia Settings afterwards and make sure that you have selected While Playing >Continue Slide show You will then need to set the Stop Playing button and enter in the Stop Playing > After number slides the number of slides that you would like the music to play for.
Tip2: If you want to the the music you desired can be played all over the slides. just select "Loop Until Stopped" at the "Sound Option" above the slide, at the same time, in the "Play Sound" item, select "play across slide".
