How to Connect your Wii to the Internet?

Wii doesn't only play games, it also connects wirelessly to the Internet to bring you BBC iPlayer, the latest news, weather reports and game downloads; plus you can send text messages and swap data with other Wii owners online.

Discover what your Wii can do when connected to the Internet and scroll down for a step-by-step tutorial on getting connected.

First, connect your Wii to the Internet you need a wired or wireless broadband Internet connection.

Click "Wii" to configue your Wii

Click "Wii Settngs"

Click to go to the next page

Click "Internet"

Click "Connection Settings"

Click to create a new connection

Click "Wireless Connection"

Click "Search for an Access Point"

Click "OK" to view the found access points

Choose your access point

Your access point may require a password. Click "OK" to save these settings.

Click "OK" to test your new connection

Click "Yes" to update your software

Click "I Accept" after reading the notice

Your Wii should now be hooked up to the Internet. Have fun!
