Installing the Hardware and Software
Connect the base station to the top of the monitor screen on your laptop. The base station contians a sensor that reads the movements of the pen that are made on the computer screen.
Plug the base station into a USB port on your computer.
Insert the installation disc into the the CD/DVD drive, and wait for the setup screen to appear. If the setup screen does not appear, double-click on the My Computer icon from your desktop. You will then need to double click on your CD/DVD drive to launch the installation wizard.
Press the "Next" button when prompted to move through the installation wizard and install the software for the DUO Electronic Pen Mouse. When the installation is complete you will see an icon for the software on your desktop. You may need to restart the computer after the installation is complete.
Locate the icon for the DUO Electronic Pen Mouse in the system tray. The icon will appear as a monitor with a pen. If you can see the icon in your Windows task bar your laptop has successfully recognized the DUO Electronic Pen Mouse.

Using the Pen
Hold the pen as you would a regular pencil or pen.
Press down lightly on the surface of the screen with the tip of the pen to select. This is the equivalent of single clicking with the mouse.
Press the tip of the pen to the screen twice to open or run a program. This is the equivalent of double clicking with the mouse.
Click the pen once and hold down to make a selection and then move the tip of the pen to the new location. Lift the pen off of the screen to stop, or drop the selection.
