How to Convert Video to iPad/iPod/iPhone on Mac (Snow Leopard)

The following tutorial will show you how to convert all sorts of common video formats such as WMV, FLV, AVI, MOV and AVCHD videos such as HD MOV(MPEG-4), HD MOV(H.264), MTS(AVCHD H.264), M2TS(AVCHD H.264), MOD(MPEG-2), HD TOD(MPEG-2), TP, TRP, HD WMV(VC-1), HD FLV, HD MKV(H.264), HD MKV(MPEG-2), TS(MPEG-2) on Mac OS X (including Snow Leopard) for viewing oniPad, iPod and iPhone with Mac Video Converter.

Step 1. Download Video Converter for Mac and run it.



Step 2. Load the video files you want to convert

Drag and drop the video files to the program or you can click the “Add Files” button to browse your computer hard disc and add the video files you want to convert to the program.

Batch conversion is also supported by this Mac Video Converter, so you can load several video files at one time.

Step 3. Output Settings

After you added video files, you can select an output format for each video file and specify a directory on your computer to save the output files.



Choose audio format (MP3, WAV, AAC) if you just want to extract audio from video on Mac OS X.



If you want to set video and audio encoding settings by yourself, say, set a lower bit rate to compress the video, just click the “Settings” button to customize output settings.



Step 4. Edit your Video Files

Mac Video Converter can help you set video brightness, contrast, saturation, crop video, trim video and even merge multiple files into one single file.

1. Capture a clip from your video file

Click “Trim” button to open the Trim window, and set the starting time and ending time by dragging the slider then you can convert a clip from the video file on Mac OS X.

2. Crop video footage

If you want to remove the black borders or just convert part of the video area from your video file, you can click the “Crop” button to crop the video of the current video file by dragging the frame around the video.

3. Video effect

Click the “Effect” button and drag each effect adjustment slider to set the video brightness, contrast, saturation and audio volume. You can also choose to flip the video and apply a special video effect to your video file by selecting a special effect from: Gray, Emboss, Old Film and Negative.

Step 5. Start the video conversion

Click the “Convert” button to start the video conversion and then you can just go out for a walk or take a nap, and the conversion may have been finished when you come back.
