How to Duplicate on "Diablo 2: Lord of Destruction"

Use the following trick to duplicate anything (items, gold, potions, etc.). Have a friend playing with you in multi-player mode. Take the character you want to copy items from and change the file attributes of the character save files to read only. When in the game anything you do will not be saved. so When you drop something and your friend picks it up, the game will not record you as dropping the item. Save and exit and repeat. When you are done, turn off the read only attribute so your progress in the game can be saved as usual.
Step 1
pen the main Diablo 2 directory, then open the "save" subfolder.

Step 2
Copy all the files in the folder to your desktop.

Step 3
Boot up Diablo 2: Lord of Destruction and log onto a multiplayer game. Get a friend to do the same and join you.

Step 4
Drop any items you want duplicated and have your friend hang on to them temporarily, then log out of the multiplayer game.

Step 5
Return to your desktop and move the copied save files back into the "save" subfolder of the Diablo 2 directory.

Step 6
Log back into the game. Your character should have all the items you previously had, plus your friend should be holding the duplicated items. Repeat the process as often as you like.
