Solution 1
First grab your computer and MSN cd and head to the nearest broadband place you can find to hook up to the Internet, work, friends house, school, local computer shop etc. Hook up the computer and make sure you can browse the web. Once that works put in your MSN CD and run the install. Once the install has finished you can add another location for MSN to use for dialup. That should solve your problems. Appears it is caused by having the computer first hooked up to broadband and installing updates or whatever then moving over to dial up.
Solution 2
I downloaded MacAfee Security Center from the MSN site as it was recommended. When I went to boot up the next morning I was locked out of my own damn computer. MSN told me that the this program raises the security level, and said to take a hike on my problem and when I called Microsoft told me to get lost by going to their online support site. My PC is now at the shop and Windows XP has to reloaded into the system. Hard Drive has to be copied and stripped and I have lost all the programs on the PC. If anyone else has this problem I would like to know as I would like to start a cl@ss action suit. This is costing me big bucks and I am tired of these guys knowingly slapping crap on the internet that is full of unresolved bugs and creating hell for users.
