Change Your Password
Step 1
Open a browser and go to the MSN Hotmail account. Slowly type in your username and password. Many errors that users run into in terms of logging into their email accounts involve typing the username or password incorrectly.
Step 2
Click the "Forgot your password?" link below the fields if you think that your password is wrong.
Step 3
Type the email associated with the Windows Live ID account that you are trying to access. Enter the characters shown in the box in the bottom field. Click the "Continue" button.
Step 4
Select "Use my question to verify my identity." Type in the account information, answer the security question and click the "Continue" button.
Step 5
Enter your new password and confirm it in the appropriate fields and click the "Continue" button.
Allow Cookies in Internet Explorer
Step 1
Launch your Internet Explorer.
Step 2
Click "Tools" in the main menu bar. Scroll down and click "Internet Options."
Step 3
Select the "Privacy" tab. Move the slider to the bottom to allow all cookies. Click the "OK" button.
Allow Cookies in Firefox
Step 1
Launch Firefox.
Step 2
Click "Tools" in the main menu bar. Scroll down and click "Options."
Step 3
Hit the "Privacy" tab. Click the drop-down box next to "Firefox will." Choose "Use custom settings for history."
Step 4
Put a checkmark in the box next to "Accept cookies from sites." Click the "OK" button.
