How to Install the Sims 3 for PC

How to install the sims 3 on PC? How to know if your PC has the right requirements too? There are two useful ways to solve it.

Way 1

To see if you have the right requirements go on this website…
find the game and it will check your computer

If a window doesn't pop up, go to My Computer and then it should be under devices.
"Sims 3" Double click that and it will come up.

Way 2

At first, you have tp go to
and select Sims 3 from the drop-down menu. You'll need to install their applet, which is perfectly safe - not spyware or a virus - and be patient while the site does its thing. Read the results to see what passes and what fails.

Another thing that you might want to check is whether you have a CD-ROM or a DVD-ROM. Sims 3 requires a DVD-ROM. If your drive can't read DVDs, you'll need to go out and buy a DVD-ROM. Go for an internal if you know how to install it - they're cheaper - but if you don't and don't want to pay extra for installation, you can get an external DVD-ROM drive for anywhere between $65-$99 (at the cheapest).

Check out any locally-owned computer stores; they'll often have better prices. I got a used internal DVD-ROM at one near my work for $5, and it works perfectly!

If you have a DVD-ROM and the disk still won't autorun, go to My Computer/(your dvd drive - often "D:") and right-click - choose "Explore". You can try the "Autoplay" otion, or just find the icon that says "Sims3Setup".

And if all THAT fails, your disk may be damaged. Call EA's tech support or go to
