How to Join Latitude On Motorola Droid

Google Latitude is a user location service that lets you and your friends see each others locations and update each other through status. You can get directions to your friends locations, send emails, make phone calls and more.

Method 1:

Step 1
From the home screen open the app drawer and open maps

Step 2
while viewing a map in any mode (except street view) press menu and tap join latitude

Step 3
read the privacy policy and tap agree & share

Step 4
to open latitude while in any map mode (except street view) press menu and tap latitude

Method 2:
Step1
First, access Latitude by opening google maps

Step 2
After that, touch "Menu" and then touch "Join Latitude".

This is also where you can go to access all of your Latitude settings.

Step 3
Now, add friends by touching "Menu" and then "Add friends"

You can select friends from your personal Contacts or also by using email addresses. Once you select your friends, an email request will go to them and all they need to do is accept the invitation.

If you wish to remove a friend, go to "Menu" then "Latitude" and remove them from your list.

Step 4
Next, choose to share your location by clicking one of the following three options.

"Accept And Share Back"
"Accept, But Hide My Location"
"Don't Accept"

The three options are all multiple levels of privacy and you should choose whichever one fits your needs.

Finally, if you wish to hide your location, open up Latitude and touch "Menu" followed by "Privacy" in order to hide your location.
