Children are usually the victims of such injuries and sometimes adults depending upon the sport they are playing. Wearing protective gear on your teeth while playing sports is an essential necessity. Someone could be riding their bike, and an incident like this could happen - you just never know. A mouth guard is always a good idea if you want to protect your teeth, lips and tongue. It is vital that you wear the proper equipment while playing a sport or interacting with friends by way of contact; injuries can be minimalized by doing this. More vulnerable than most other parts of your body, your teeth need to be protected at any expense.Smoking is a very bad habit that many people have, many of which have problems with their teeth most of their lives. You can get several different symptoms if you smoke or chew, including gum disease, bad breath, and tooth decay. If you get cancer in your family very easily, smoking can promote oral cancer so be careful. Sadly, although smoking is the primary cause of this form of cancer, people still continue to smoke today. These are just a few reasons why you should stop smoking immediately. Anyone that smokes should understand that these cancers are real and that is why they should stop smoking right now. When it comes to both dental problems and the risk of oral cancer, chewing tobacco is at least as bad as smoking. A healthy mouth is definitely possible, along with healthy teeth, if you simply pay attention to them in the morning and at night. Everything you eat, drink or smoke has an affect on your dental health, especially if you do it frequently. With regular checkups, and getting rid of habits that could cause problems in your mouth, you will have healthy gums and teeth probably for the rest of your life.
