Most of my friends use HP laptops except those who are fond of Apple products. When I am out, it is easy to see that HP takes a huge amount of market share. No doubt that HP is good at the field of computer. As to the product, HP divides it into home and business types. Then how to make a distinction of them? Here will show you more.
There are a set of name rules charging all these products. As to the home types, Pavilion DV series is devoted to high rank user. The first letter means the size of the LCD Screen Panel such as DV3 which is 13-inch and DV4 which is 14-inch. The following number is the configuration of the very laptop. Compaq Presario series is the same with pavilion. Like CQ35, it indicates that the screen is 13-inch. In addition, there are two alphabets at the end of each model. The first one is T which is Intel platform or A which is AMD platform. The second is U for integrated graphics or X for discrete graphics. Examples are TU, TX, AU, and AX.
Among those business laptops, their models are composed by four numbers with one alphabet. Like HP EliteBook series, the first number is 2 which is 12.2-inch light weight laptop, or 6 which is 14.1-inch to 15.4-inch, or 8 for high performance laptop with 15.4-inch to 17.1-inch. As to the second number, the bigger the number is, the higher of the performance. The third shows the generation. And latter one is the processor. For the last alphabet, S is for standard; B is business; P is professional and W is workstation. Another business type is Compaq 500 series. They adopt the dural core AMD processor.
Let’s have a look of the exact example: Compaq Presario CQ35-217TX is 13-inch laptop for home use with Intel processor and the discrete graphic. EliteBook 2530p is the third generation laptop with a 12.1-inch LCD screen panel for business use. It might be a little bit monotonous to recite them. Thus it is beneficial if you have certain acknowledgement of them.
