Have you met with this problem that your Mozilla Firefox does not recognize Windows Media Player plug ins? I firmly believe that a lot of computer users have faced this problem. In fact, there are some easy ways to make Mozilla Firefox to recognize Windows Media Player plug ins.

Way1

It is possible that you have not enabled Windows Media Player within your Mozilla Firefox which is why it does not recognise the plugin.

It is necessary for you to check on your toolbar select Tools then Options. You should see a selection of programmes that are already installed i.e. Realplayer, Windows Media Player, etc. And then click on the plugins tab to see if selected i.e. you should have a tick beside it, if not select with your mouse. It should be ticked.

Way2

To play Windows media in Firefox, Firefox needs the Windows Media Player browser plugin installed. There are two different versions:

The original, which is usually included with Windows from 98 up to XP Home/Professional. The new version, which is specifically for Windows XP and Windows Vista and is only available by download.

Many Windows XP users will have the old plugin already, but it is recommended that you install the new plugin anyway.
