Earning a living on the internet is not as straight forward as you are made to believe, but on the other hand it is not as hard as you think either, there are a good number of ways to make an income on line through a whole host of money generating ideas. Google AdSense is without a doubt the most simple means of earning income through your site, simply just add a small piece of code to your blog and an advert will appear on your web site that is relevant to your sites written content, simple as that.
Firstly you will need to open a Google Ad sense account and then select a design of advert that is in keeping with your web site or blog. The ads are quite customisable up to a certain stage so you can change the look and the feel of your ads to suit your page. Now just copy the code and paste it on your web site and you are done, sounds simple.

That was the simple part; the tricky part is getting readers to your web site so they can listen to what you have to say and with a bit of luck click through on one of the adverts. Ok for this to work and earn you some income you now have the task of getting your web page or blog page on the first page of Google and Bing for a key word or group of key phrases that will yield enough traffic to make the project prosperous.

The vast bulk of the high traffic markets are high competition I might add so be prepared for a lot of link building and promotion work in order to earn a living. Another point to watch out for is the price per click per ad; this basically is the cost of the ad per click that the advertising company has to pay to place the ad. Google AdSense ads deviate on cost per click dependent on which market you are in, some may be 10p per click and some could be up to £50 per click for the more lucrative areas.

You will make a share of the advertising revenue that is split with Google normally about half so avoid placing ads on your site that are only worth 20p a click as your cut will only be 10p. To make a decent income you need to do one of a couple of things; either find a niche that is high traffic and has a decent cost per click or a market that has a high value cost per click and a fair amount of traffic. Or if you can, find a market that has both, high traffic and a high price per click.
