●Tip 1 - Reduce Minecraft Lags
Go into options and turn the render distance to short, and turn the graphics to fast instead of fancy. I also turn view bobbing off, but I'm not sure if that makes a difference.

●Tip 2 - Reduce Minecraft Lags
Try turning the render distance (fog) to the minimum distance. also set graphics to fast not fancy.

●Tip 3 - Reduce Minecraft Lags
Step 1 . Open up minecraft.
Step 2 . Run the world you want to play.
Step 3 . Open task manager
Step 4 . Goto processes
Step 5 . Goto Javaw.exe
Step 6 . Do as shown in image below (right click on javaw.exe and hit set priority... )
Step 7 . Set to high

Step 1 . Open up minecraft.
Step 2 . Run the world you want to play.
Step 3 . Open task manager
Step 4 . Goto processes
Step 5 . Goto Javaw.exe

Also I just deleted a shitload of files to clear my HDD
Ran CC cleaner cleared about 1 GB with that
Defragmented my HDD
Ran an Erro Check on my HDD
I deleted all my worlds in minecraft and created 1 whole new 1.
idk what is causing the lag.
Solution 1: Go to task manager and see how many processes you are running, might have a lot of programs running in the background, also reboot.
Solution 2: Download tuneup utilities and turn on turbo mode. Or just Turn on fog

●Minecraft Lag 2: Minecraft Lags on Computer - Reduce Minecraft Lags
Lag: I bought minecraft yesterday and it has some times where it will lag for like 5 seconds. I play on fast graphics. I have an iMac 3.06GHz core 2 duo, 4gb ram, 1,000gb hard drive, ATi Radeon 4670HD Graphics card. I also play at default resolution (like how big it is when you open the game, I don't stretch it out full screen)
Solution That page doesn't work when you go there with a Mac. They just say you should use Apple's update thingy instead. The update does not show up for me in software update, either. Besides, this can't really be the problem, since I would be using the old Java version as well without any problems.

●Minecraft Lag 3 - Reduce Minecraft Lags
Lag: I got Minecraft last night because it really looked like a creative game. (I obviously don't care about graphics).
However, I can't seem to play the game lag free. When I load up a world, I have about 1-2 minutes to play before it is lag city and I can barely move. Is there a reason for this? I don't believe that it's my computer because a simple game like Minecraft couldn't require much could it?

Solution Go to options. Set render distance to Short, Fog on (by pressing F), and set "fast" graphics.
