By Stevoboy : A how to tutorial about pes 2013 news, pes 2013, pes 2013 player id, Gaming with step by step guide from Stevoboy.
In the first PES 2013 News article we looked at the Full Control System, but in this piece we'll focus on the other new PES 2013 feature from Konami - Player ID.
Player ID is a new system designed to provide player individuality across all the players in the game, in practice however and if history is anything to go by, this will only affect the top 100 or so players in the game.
It's much more realistic to focus on getting the look, likeness, style of play and type of boots, hairstyle, wrist bands, kit wearing and dive fashion right for players like Cristiano Ronaldo than it is for some player in some lesser team that you've never heard of.
The PES Demo's always focus on star players and the makers Konami always pimp these players out to show off the new systems, so the cynic in me expects more of the same like previous years, at least until I can get my hands on a copy to play for myself.
But anyway, PES 2013 news takes a look at what Player ID promises:
Individuality - something PES has always reigned supreme over is the actual look of the players, much more lifelike that the FIFA counterparts. A quick look at the pictures and video previews of the game shows no reason why the players won't look fantastic again this year. Player ID will add to this by the way the players trap, control, pass, shoot and move, so that players should be recognisable without the aid of their nametag (although as always this will still be included).
Goalkeepers - finally, an overhaul of the dated goalkeepers or so we're promised. Now to be fair, I've had a quick blast on the demo and in just 2-3 games could see improvements and new animations for the custodians between the sticks. As long as the finished game has removed the annoying soft parry out save and the promised accurate distribution from goalies is up to scratch, we could have a winner ladies and gentlemen. Again, famous goalkeepers should be obvious purely from their looks and movements in shot stopping.
Proactive AI - related to the attacking full control system, with top players making smart runs, finding space and generally acting like their real life counterparts and not just standing around with their hands in their theoretical pockets. This one needs to be perfected as having just had a blast on PES 2012 the former game still suffered from dumb players not running where it was obvious to every fan in the stadium.
Balance Of Play - very much in tandem with Proactive AI, balance of play is an area Konami have discussed at length with PES fans to remove daft (illogical) elements from the game, to improve the realism of the game and ensure players run, move and perform like they would in a real football situation.
Tactical Precision - tweaking the balance between the defensive and forward lines, so that lost possession is recovered quicker and teams react in a more realistic fashion to defending and attacking situations. This will hopefully remove dead space between the two lines in the middle of the pitch.
Enhanced Goalkeepers - Konami have actually taken on board the most popular gripe from PES fans and looked to improve the goalkeepers' reactions by meeting with real goalies and liaising with them. This should see an improvement in AI with goalies pushing dangerous shots away to safety and not as mentioned above, pushing weak shots straight back to on rushing strikers as per previous PES games. This is something I saw a slight improvement in during the demo, although my exposure was limited to just a few games.
Hopefully if Konami has nailed all of the above points and PES 2013 can live up to these claims, then the game will regain some of its lost magic and PES will be back on course for success this autumn. PES 2013 news will be looking in more detail what comes out of the demo experience, so stay tuned for more insights.
This is one of my favourite passions, footy on the PS3 and it doesn't get much better than Pro Evolution Soccer. PES 2013 is out this autumn, so I'm creating a new site www.pes2013.org.uk for fans of the game.
