As what is said in a newly published novel:" Internet has double blades : while it provides convenience and pleasure to the life of people, it brings numerous side-effects that are also detrimental to the life of people. Internet mass hunting literally means to uncover the true identity of a particular person with the concerted efforts of all netizens. In recent years, many network events triggered the creation of a new term - "internet mass hunting". "Internet mass hunting" can become either an important force in punishing evil and promoting good, or cause internet violence due to wanton revealing of other people's privacy. Recently, Public Security Bureau in Shenzhen said it will soon propose amendments to the local existing regulatins on internet security management and normalize the "internet mass hunting" behaviors. Upon the release of the news, there is a hot debate over the"internet mass hunting". "If you love someone, put him into human flesh search engine, you'll quickly learn everything about him; if you hate someone, put him into human flesh search engine, you'll put him into hell." However, there is no authoritative definition for the new word. In most cases, the term "internet mass hunting" refers to the public search for an specific figure who has aroused public ourage. Netizens expose his or her real information to criticize these peole. Internet mass hunting has become a buzzword now. It do benefit a lot of people: it helped a lot of Wenchuan earthquake survivors to find their families and exposed Zhou Jiugeng's violation of laws and rules. From this point of view, it provided convenience for people. However, internet is just like a two-edged sword. It also created a lot of problems such as the infringement of sb's privacy and even the punidhment in real life from some radical netizens.
