Are you interested to undergo training for either boxing or kick boxing? Not sure of selecting the better of the two? You need not wait longer since this article brings out the best in these two sports and helps you choose the one that fits you the most. The points presented in this article are put together in the simplest manner.
There are two scenarios of looking at this.
Scenario 1: Choosing Boxing over Kick Boxing
To master either boxing or kick boxing, you need to be on top of your body form, fitness and balance. So, you really cannot bring out the superiority of either of these two over another in this regard. However, you can choose to take on boxing training if you aren’t too good in the aspects of timing sense, reflex action and balance. Although you are going to choose one for your workout, overlooking their technical aspects is totally unacceptable.
• Boxing can be learn easily because all the time you’d stay on two feet. Not even once you need to use your leg to kick, as in kick boxing, so you would never lose balance at all. Actually this is not a drawback of kickboxing but the inability of beginners to demonstrate fine balancing skills which is very important in a sport like this.
• A majority of people find the basics of boxing very much easy to pick up and practice in contrast to kick boxing. Probably, these people found the athletic moves, flexibility, using up the space available, maintaining balance and kicking instructions too hard to think of while executing a few round kicks.
• Which between the two sports promotes weight loss- Boxing or kick boxing? Even though both of these martial arts have helped scores of people lose a significant proportion of their actual weight, boxing scores over kickboxing for one particular reason. Only when you get to the higher levels of training in kick boxing, you stand a chance of shedding few more pounds than what you’d normally do in the corresponding levels of boxing training but the problem with the former is no unfit person can easily pass the first level.
• The availability of an extended space, either in your home or inside a gymnasium, is a main criterion to carry out kickboxing training. I have personally seen many cases where lack of space influenced the BIG decision.
Above all, one reason why you should consider boxing over kick boxing is to make for your lack of timing sense and balance (if you don’t have these). On top of this agreeable fact is the list of aforementioned points.
Scenario 2: Choosing Kick Boxing over Boxing
If you think you don’t come under any criteria mentioned in the first scenario, and look to face grueling sessions up front, perhaps kick boxing is what you should pursue.
Personally I would recommend you learn boxing first and move ahead to kick boxing as you’re actually advancing in the right direction if you go this way. Visit all about boxing
