Leads For Free - Too Free Or Not Too Free....

I'm not much of a pessimist - but I've been thinking about the idea of generating leads for free.  Does this idea even make any sense? I remember getting started in online marketing lead generation and thinking to myself - "sweet! Now I get to generate leads for free with little effort while all those other suckers blow their cash on pay per click." Boy was I wrong... Generating leads online through methods that don't require cash is... well... hard. Now don't get me wrong - it is very rewarding, and you learn a vast array of skills in the process that money couldn't even buy.  But free?  Um.... No. It's simply not free because instead of spending money, your spending something even more valuable - your time. Either way, some free methods to generate leads online might include: -Video Marketing -Content Marketing (like blogs and articles) -And other forms of email marketing But to say that these methods are "free" is almost an insult. It's takes time, patients, and even money in some cases. So how do you feel about this topic? And I'm not suggesting you use every single method because that can get a bit overwhelming.  But pick one or two and stick with that technique until you see some good results - then move on to the next one. I actually use a couple of the techniques found in here almost everyday.  And I must say... it's pretty neat stuff.
