Mendham, NJ 27-July-2010 -- Insurance 123 announces that a challenge has been issued to the life insurance industry to provide coverage for HIV positive clients. When HIV first became a widespread problem, it was an automatic death sentence in a fairly short time. Today, that is not the case. Advances in medicine have increased the life expectancy of those diagnosed with HIV to almost what they would have had without the disease.
Research is ongoing in the fight to find a cure for this disease. Other researchers are working on a vaccine that can prevent the spread of the disease. In the meantime, those who contract HIV and get prompt medical attention can expect to live many years with minimal if any symptoms.
