We have witnessed the dawning of this new social era conducted of persona and relationships developed and conducted online. We realize that the majority of businesses that survive and thrive in this challenging economy do so because of their online presence. As residents of a suburban area, we are engulfed by a media that produces images and offerings for our metropolitan city proper, while not at all the city that we call home. The American dream survives and thrives every day in these smaller suburban areas, with Mr. and Mrs. Proud Business Owner putting everything they have (financially and emotionally) into a labor of love. And sadly, that’s just not enough. We’re here to change that.

LOCOCITY.com is an online magazine, and so much more. Dedicated to the communities we serve outside of urban areas nationwide, it is our desire to contain editorial content based on issues of interest and concern to the American people in these areas. We commit ourselves to promoting the suburban economy by highlighting retail or service industry businesses and restaurants, business owners, charity, sense of community topics as well as cottage industry (home-based businesses) that make up these suburban or rural locations. While these businesses are hungry for the attention of their public, we also realize that ironically, the public is starved for things to do and places to go that are close to home.

Our concept is age old, and yet in the landscape of electronic media it might be considered cutting edge.

We at LOCOCITY are writers, designers, specialists in advertising and business consulting. We are also people who have made the conscious decision to live in the suburbs. We are just like you.
