If the disk space is too low, what will happen? You have to bear the always popping up dialog box that reminds you the disk space is too low, and what is worse, the disk cannot provide enough space for you to download any file or video from Internet. Therefore in order to prevent such problem, you had better free up disk space as much as possible, even though you have not encountered it.   So, in this article I will tell you how to free up disk space on the condition that your hard disk is large enough.   First of all, you should defragment your disks.   As a matter of fact, disk defragmentation is a best way to free up disk space which do not do any harm to your computer but just help computer optimize performance. It can collect those fragments in the disk which should be blamed mainly for taking up space. And, you can use the defragmenting program of Windows, if you have enough time and patience to wait for it. Probably, it takes more time in defragmenting than downloading a file. Thus, it is wise for you to choose a third-party tool to help you in this regard.   And then, you should clear up the temporary files of system and Internet. They are nothing but junks. And, you can also do something to deal with virtual memory. If you move virtual memory from system partition, it can save a lot of disk space. Right-click “My Computer”—“Properties”—“Advanced”—“Performance”, click “Settings”— “Advanced”— “Virtual Memory” and click “Change” to choose a partition. By doing this, you can free up an amount of space in the disk for sure.   Besides, you can also forbid using system restore function. To be honest, such function is useless. If your system has crashed, how can you enter into the interface to startup the system restore function? Right-click “My Computer”—“Properties”—“System Restore”—“Turn off system restore on all the drivers” and then click “Apply” and “OK”. Now you can turn off this unavailable function to free up disk space.   As for defragmenting, here I also want to remind you that if you want to use the disk defragmenter of Windows, you have to divide the whole task into two ways. That is scanning and then defragmenting.   You should use this  defrag that can combine the two function together, do not think it can save a lot of time and energy? You can click here to download and free your hard disk right away.
