Matter and energy in Mario De Luca's unique works of art

Once again Italian Contemporary Art meets the exclusive and elegant hospitality of Sofitel Rome Villa Borghese’s in an event organized in together with the AIPLC, Associazione Italian Per La Cultura (Italian Association for Culture), which in the past has transformed parts of the exclusive Roman hotel into a unique Art Gallery: Mario De Luca’s creative genius will be displayed in a personal exhibit that will run from February 21 until March 31.

Mario De Luca is an innovative painter and sculptor, from Frosinone, who uses assorted material rigorously obtained from urban recycle to create extremely unique works of art where miscellaneous material is fused together to create multidimensional forms. In this way, the artist gives new form and meaning to elements that were consumed by time and abandoned, giving them with new life making them into something totally different from the original, works of art filled with new symbolism.

“Once again, Sofitel Rome Villa Borghese’s charming public areas are to become exclusive exhibit corners” declares Marie Bèrengére Chapoton, General Manager of the Roman hotel, and adds “ the hotel becomes a very peculiar Art Gallery that offers the space and exposure to the originality and value of Italian Contemporary Art, which on this occasion is represent by the renowned artist Mario De Luca. Our hotel will be the stage of other such initiatives throughout the year”.

The exhibit will be open to the public every day starting February 21, and represents a special and original opportunity to admire Contemporary Art in the unique and exceptional setting of Sofitel Rome Villa Borghese hotel. Here, in an exclusive and striking ambience one can relax and enjoy delicious cocktails or taste fabulous dishes created by Chef Giuseppe D’Alessio surrounded by the magnificent view of Rome offered by the hotel’s restaurant and bar, La Terrasse Cuisine & Lounge.
